How DealerJet works.

Five steps from your dealer page to live Marketplace ads.

The five steps

  1. Step 1 · Connect

    Paste your dealer page.

In Settings, Source, paste your dealer listing page and press Import (the Manage sources button on your Inventory page takes you there). An owner or admin does this once. Supported today: AutoTrader.ca and CarGurus.

  2. Step 2 · Import

    Your cars come in.

Every car arrives with price, kilometres and specs, with live progress on your dashboard, and your lot refreshes every night. AutoTrader.ca photos come with the car; with CarGurus, the Chrome extension fetches them.

  3. Step 3 · Choose

    Pick a posting mode.

Manual review: Auto-publish to Facebook off. DealerJet fills the form, and you press Publish yourself after reviewing it.
Semi-automatic: Auto-publish to Facebook on. You pick a car, and DealerJet fills the form and presses Publish for you when the car is complete.
Fully automatic: Auto-publish and scheduled posting on. Set the days, the start time and the time between posts. DealerJet posts only your Ready to post cars, one at a time at a human pace. You can review every car in DealerJet before it posts.

  4. Step 4 · Post

    DealerJet fills Facebook's form.

Photos (up to 20, in your order), price, year, make, model, mileage and the other details, then the description, one field after another. Each rep posts from their own Facebook account, in their own Google Chrome.

  5. Step 5 · Keep it right

    Active listings, kept in sync.

DealerJet saves each ad's link as it posts. With Update prices on Facebook switched on, a new price reaches your connected ads on its own. On the Active listings tab, Sync with Facebook brings your live ads into DealerJet and checks each one against your lot: it shows any detail that differs, and sold cars still up, so you know which ad to take down.

Before you start

What you need.

1

Your dealer page link

Your dealership's online listing page, the one that lists your whole lot. Supported sources.

2

Google Chrome

On each computer that posts. DealerJet runs as a Chrome extension, so keep Chrome open during your posting hours.

3

A Facebook account per rep

Each rep signs in to their own Facebook in Chrome, with Facebook set to English (US). DealerJet never asks for a Facebook password.

4

A card for the trial

Nothing is charged during your 14 free days.

A normal day

What happens while you sell.

  1. Overnight

    Inventory refresh

New cars and price changes come in from your dealer page. If it lists 10 or more cars, a car that left it is marked Sold in DealerJet. Its Facebook ad stays up until you take it down.

  2. Your posting hours

    Scheduled posts

Ready cars go out one at a time, spaced out, from each rep's own account. Each ad's link is saved.

  3. Any time

    Prices and checks

New prices reach connected ads. Press Sync with Facebook to check every live ad against your lot.
