The basics
What is DealerJet?
DealerJet is Facebook Marketplace posting software for Canadian car dealerships. It imports your cars from your online dealer listings, fills Facebook Marketplace's vehicle form for each car, and posts on your schedule from your reps' own Facebook accounts.
What do you get with DealerJet?
DealerJet is built for Canadian dealerships and brings it all together in one place. One flat monthly price in CAD per dealership, and the Dealership plan covers every salesperson, with no per-seat fees. Your cars come in from your AutoTrader.ca or CarGurus dealer page and refresh every night, with no feed to set up. Sync with Facebook checks your live ads against your inventory. Every ad gets your compliance footer: your disclosure, dealership name and Dealer # once you enter them. And it works in kilometres, CAD and every Canadian time zone. See every feature.
Who is DealerJet for?
Licensed used-car dealerships and the salespeople who post their cars. Solo suits one person; Dealership suits a sales floor.
How soon can my cars be on Marketplace?
It can be the same day. Paste your dealer listing page, add the Chrome extension and set Facebook to English (US). Then open any Ready car and click Post to Facebook Marketplace; that first post also links your Facebook account. Next, switch on scheduled posting, and DealerJet posts your Ready cars one at a time on your posting days, spaced out, while Chrome is open.
What do I need to start?
Your dealer listing page link (see supported sources), Google Chrome on each computer that posts, Facebook set to English (US), and a card for the 14-day free trial.
Facebook Marketplace
Can car dealers post on Facebook Marketplace in Canada?
Facebook stopped supporting vehicle listings from business Pages in Canada on January 30, 2023 (Meta's notice, archived copy). Since then, dealership staff post vehicles from their own Facebook profiles, which is how DealerJet works. Follow Facebook's Commerce Policies and your province's advertising rules. More on posting rules.
How many cars can I post to Facebook Marketplace a day?
Facebook does not publish a daily Marketplace limit. DealerJet lets each rep post 1 to 10 cars a day, spaced out with a minimum gap between posts.
How does DealerJet keep you in control of your Facebook account?
You decide what posts, when and how fast. DealerJet fills in Facebook's form for you from your real listing. Before a car posts, you can check it in DealerJet and change its photos, description and Facebook details. Each rep posts from their own Facebook account, in their own Google Chrome, and DealerJet never asks for a Facebook password. You choose how ads are published: Auto-publish presses Publish for you and starts on for new users, or switch it off on the Posting page to review each filled form and press Publish yourself. And you set the pace: scheduled posts go out one at a time, 1 to 10 cars a day per rep, at least the gap you choose apart, on the days and from the start time you pick. See how it works.
How can a dealership post its whole inventory to Facebook Marketplace?
There are two ways. By hand, each salesperson posts each car from their own Facebook profile: the photos, every field and the description, one car at a time. With DealerJet, your cars come in from your AutoTrader.ca or CarGurus dealer page, DealerJet fills in Facebook's form for every car, and posts go out on your schedule from each rep's own account. In Canada, business Pages can no longer list vehicles, so either way the ads come from people's own profiles. See how DealerJet does it, or read the full guide.
Why use DealerJet if we already post to Facebook Marketplace by hand?
Because posting by hand costs more than it looks. At about 10 minutes a car, one rep posting a 60-car lot spends 10 hours, and three reps each posting it from their own account spend 30. By hand, cars go up late or never, sold cars stay up, price changes are not carried over, and every car gets the same copy. DealerJet fills in Facebook's form for you from your real listing, with a description written for that car, and with Manual review you can change anything before you press Publish. What posting by hand really costs.
Do I need a Facebook business account or API access?
No. DealerJet does not use a Facebook business account or Meta's API, and Meta has not approved or endorsed it. It works through a Chrome extension in your own browser, and on Facebook it only runs on Marketplace pages.
How fast do scheduled posts go out?
One at a time. They start at your start time and go out at least your minimum gap apart, until the day's number is reached.
Inventory
Which inventory sources does DealerJet support?
Today: AutoTrader.ca and CarGurus dealer pages, one at a time. An owner or admin pastes the link under Inventory, Manage sources, and presses Import. There is no CSV upload or DMS connection.
How often does my inventory update?
Every night. New cars appear and price changes come through. If your dealer page lists 10 or more cars, a car that leaves it is marked Sold in DealerJet and comes off every rep's posting queue. You can also refresh one car from its source anytime.
Where do the photos come from?
From your dealer page. AutoTrader.ca photos come with each car. With CarGurus, the DealerJet Chrome extension fetches each car's photos in your browser, so keep Chrome open after you import. Post only photos your dealership owns or has permission to use.
What happens to a car with missing details?
A car missing something Facebook needs, or with only one photo, waits in Needs review with a tag that says what is missing, instead of posting half finished.
Posting
What does DealerJet fill in on Facebook?
Photos (up to 20, in your order), price, year, make, model, mileage, body style, condition, transmission, fuel type, exterior and interior colour, clean title when you say the car has one, and the description.
Can it post on its own?
Yes. DealerJet posts three ways, and you pick one on the Posting page. Manual review: with Auto-publish to Facebook off, click Post to Facebook Marketplace on a car and DealerJet fills in Facebook's form for you to check and publish yourself. Semi-automatic: with Auto-publish to Facebook on, DealerJet also presses Publish, only when the car is complete. Fully automatic: with Auto-publish on, press Turn on scheduled posting, and your Ready cars go out on their own, spaced out on the days and hours you choose: your queue first, then your oldest cars.
Is the ad text exactly what I wrote?
Yes. Your Ad Description box is what goes to Facebook, with your compliance footer added once at the bottom. DealerJet's ad writer drafts each description from the car's details, and you can reword it with one click or edit it yourself. Each rep's edits stay on their own ads. Very long text is trimmed to Facebook's limit, and the vehicle page tells you when. Warranty and financing lines print exactly as you type them.
Does my computer need to be on?
Yes. DealerJet runs as a Google Chrome extension on your team's computers, so posting stays on your own Facebook accounts. Keep Chrome open during your posting hours.
What happens when a car sells?
Mark it sold, or, if your dealer page lists 10 or more cars, let the nightly refresh see it has left the page, and DealerJet stops posting it and takes it off every rep's queue. If DealerJet has that ad's link, Sync with Facebook flags it as Sold mismatch, so you know which ad to take down. Marking it sold on Facebook for you is Coming soon.
Prices and Sync
Does DealerJet change prices on my Facebook ads?
Yes, when Update prices on Facebook is switched on, and only on ads connected to the car. A new price on your dealer page reaches DealerJet on the nightly refresh. DealerJet then changes the price on the connected ad while the rep's Chrome is open, and checks that Facebook shows it.
What is Sync with Facebook?
A button that reads your Facebook Selling page and matches each live ad to its car, checking the facts buyers see. It flags mismatches and sold cars still up. It never edits Facebook. More about Sync.
Your team
Can each rep use their own Facebook account?
Yes, on the Dealership plan. Each rep gets their own login, can post from their own Facebook profile, and gets their own name, phone and extension in the ads DealerJet writes. Nobody shares a Facebook login, which is what Meta's Terms ask. A rep can switch the linked Facebook account once every 30 days.
What roles are there?
Owner, Admin and Rep. Reps post cars and mark them sold. Admins can do the same, and can also change the dealership's settings and invite and remove reps. Only the owner manages billing and invites, promotes, demotes or removes admins.
Plans and billing
How much does DealerJet cost?
Two plans, Solo and Dealership, each one flat monthly price in CAD plus applicable taxes, with no per-listing or per-lead fees. The Dealership plan covers every salesperson, with no per-seat fees. To talk price, book a demo. Plan details.
Does DealerJet charge per salesperson?
No. The Dealership plan is one flat monthly price in CAD, however many salespeople you add. Plan details.
How does the free trial work?
14 days free, with every feature of your plan. You add a card at sign-up, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. There is no long-term contract and no setup fee.
What is the Founding 50 offer?
The first 50 dealerships to make a paid subscription payment keep their founding rate for as long as their paid subscription continues. If you cancel and do not come back within 60 days after your paid access ends, the founding rate is gone. The full rules are in our Terms of Service.
How do I cancel?
Online, from your billing page. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
Canada and compliance
Does DealerJet help with OMVIC, VSA and AMVIC advertising rules?
DealerJet adds a compliance footer to every ad, built from what you enter: your own disclosure text, your dealership name, your Dealer # registration, and the car's stock number when your dealer page lists one. Your dealership is responsible for what its ads say, including all-in pricing. Read our guide to dealer ad rules on Marketplace.
Is DealerJet Canadian?
Yes. DealerJet is built in Canada. It imports from Canadian dealer listing pages, keeps kilometres in kilometres, bills in CAD and supports every Canadian time zone. It is not yet offered in Quebec.
Accounts and data
Does DealerJet ask for my Facebook password?
No. Each rep signs in to Facebook in their own Chrome. On Facebook, DealerJet works on Marketplace pages only.
Where can I read your policies?
Our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Cookie Policy, each with the date it was last updated.
